1. Is Pit Finance's smart contracts audited?
Yes, the Vault's smart contracts have been thoroughly audited by Verichains, a leading blockchain security firm known for its rigorous testing and evaluation processes. Verichains specializes in auditing decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, ensuring that smart contracts are both secure and robust.
This audit ensures the robustness of our smart contracts and the safety of your funds. You can view the audit report here.
2. What is a yield optimizer?
A yield optimizer is a DeFi tool that automatically manages and optimizes your crypto assets by deploying them into high-yield strategies. Pit Finance uses these strategies to maximize returns on your deposits, reinvesting profits to compound your earnings over time.
3. How does APY work in Pit Finance?
The Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of a Vault represents the projected annual return on your deposited assets. In Pit Finance, when you deposit a token like SEI, iSEI, USDC, or USDT, you receive a corresponding pTOKEN that reflects your share in the Vault.
The Vault employs sophisticated DeFi strategies to generate rewards, which are harvested every 6 hours. When the protocol harvests these rewards, the value of your pTOKEN is recalculated to reflect the accrued earnings. This automatic reinvestment process helps maximize your returns over the long term.
APY may vary with market conditions and the performance of the underlying DeFi strategies, but the 6-hourly harvesting and recalculation ensure that your earnings are consistently maximized.
4. What is a Vault Token (pTOKEN)?
Vault Tokens, or pTOKENs, represent your share in a Pit Finance Vault. When you deposit assets into a Vault, you receive pTOKENs in return. These tokens increase in value as the Vault generates.
5. Can I withdraw my funds immediately?
Yes, you can withdraw your funds at any time by redeeming your pTOKEN. The process is straightforward and allows you to access your assets whenever you need them.
6. What tokens are supported?
Pit Finance currently supports four tokens: USDC, USDT, SEI/WSEI, and iSEI.
7. How can I claim my rewards?
There's no need to manually claim rewards. Rewards are automatically compounded into your pTOKEN, which increases in value over time, reflecting your share of the Vault’s growth.
8. What fees are charged by Pit Finance?
Pit Finance only charges a performance fee, which is automatically deducted when calculating the pTOKEN and token rate. There are no deposit or withdrawal fees.
9. How does Pit Finance handle market fluctuations?
Pit Finance’s strategies are designed to dynamically adjust to market conditions, optimizing for the best returns while maintaining the security of user funds. The APY may fluctuate, but the compounding process ensures consistent growth over time.
10. Can I transfer my pTOKENs?
Yes, pTOKENs are standard SEI tokens, meaning they can be transferred or traded just like any other token on the SEI Blockchain.
